The Institute of Water Resources Planning (IWRP), together with Winrock International (WI) held a training workshop on 25-26 January 2016 at the IWRP headquarter in Hanoi.

The training was organized through the Vietnam Forests and Deltas Program (VFD), funded by USAID. IWRP and WI agreed on a series of trainings and capacity building activities, which will be organized over the period of 2016-2017 allowing a number of professional staff at IWRP to be intensively trained and coached in the area of remote sensing, water management and decision support system.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in the late 2015 between IWRP and WI provided a framework for both parties to collaborate in water resources development and management at river basin scale and capacity building remained a key component.
