The delegation was led by Mr. Kim Chung Soo from the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT), accompanied by specialists in monitoring equipment, reservoir operations, and technical advisors for the second phase of the project.
During the session, both sides discussed the progress and results of the project to date. The South Korean team mentioned that the control room system and monitoring stations would be completed and operational before the upcoming flood season. However, the experts also shared challenges related to the terrain, data availability, and other technical factors in implementing the project.
In his remarks, Mr. Lương Ngọc Chung expressed his commitment to providing full support and collaboration to ensure the project’s success. Mr. Hiển from the Department of Digital Transformation further elaborated on data standards and directions, ensuring alignment with regulations and the digital transformation strategy of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
Additionally, the experts from both sides discussed the direction and plans for the next phases of the project. IWRP introduced related research proposals and engaged in detailed discussions regarding legal and technical requirements in the implementation process. The South Korean experts expressed their desire to continue receiving strong cooperation and support from Vietnam to help accelerate the project's implementation effectively.
This working session contributed to enhancing mutual understanding and laid the foundation for closer collaboration between both sides in the field of irrigation management. Detailed discussions on related projects will continue as both parties work together in the coming period.
