Institute of Water Resources Planning (IWRP), a public non-profitable organization under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) has functions of carrying out baseline surveys; scientific research, technology transfer; training and international cooperation; providing consultancy and services in water resources planning for regulation, use, protection and sustainable development of water resources, water quality and environment in the country.

The IWRP has its legal status, its own stamp and entitled to have account at the State Treasures and Banks for its operations pursuant to laws.

Head quarter of the IWRP is based in Hanoi.

    .Budgets for the IWRP operation are allocated from the State Budget and other legal revenues pursuant to laws.
